 about me

"Love the art in yourself and not yourself in the art" is one of my favourite quotes by Konstantin Stanislavski.

I've been painting and drawing on and off, in a variety of styles and mediums throughout my life.
However during the past decade, I've had the time to become prolific.
One of the great joys of maturity
is getting to fulfil your lifetime's passion.

I have recently returned to Sydney after spending almost 3 years on Queensland's Sunshine Coast,
where I had the opportunity to paint a lot more but with the arrival of my adorable little granddaughter,
I decided that home is where the heart is and of course she is a favourite subject of mine!

On my return to Sydney, I was contacted by InNoosa Magazine and was thrilled to see one of my paintings
featured all over the cover plus a double page spread inside their 2021 Summer issue.

My early careers were in the entertainment industry as a dancer, actress, voice-over artist and teacher of performing arts. I also spent many years in the legal field and in advertising as a financial controller.
The advertising industry led me into becoming a graphic designer and I have been doing this ever since.

However these days I lean more and more to painting and drawing.

My first art exhibition (26 large works) was held at the Sydney Dance Company in the early 1990s and
another at the Mark Julian Gallery, in Glebe.

I also entered quite a number the prestigious Advertising Art Auctions where the funds were raised in
support of The Sydney Children’s Hospital.
Recently I exhibited 6 works in a group exhibition called Harvest at the M2Gallery in Surry Hills, Sydney.

Art is my healing place and no career has every been so fulfilling. Always challenging myself,
I like to paint the land, the sea, the body, portraits and still life.

I am always open to commissions and love doing portraits of children and animals.

Thank you for taking the time, to look into my profile.
